Hi All,

I think it’d be nice to take a little break from the counting book project this week. The above featured poster is another illustration I did in conjuncture with Merideth Londagin over at 3&co for her husband Todd Londagin‘s upcoming shows at Birdland in NYC. It’s such a treat to work with both of them again! If you are in NYC take in the show!

In other news, my wife and I welcomed our newest family member into our lives May 24th at 6:18am. Our new baby’s name is Ava and she’s a heavy hitter weighing in at 9lbs 8oz at birth! Big, happy and healthy. Perfect.
Best,
Steve

Thanks to all the blogger’s blogging this project! Your support is much appreciated!
Best,
Steve
About: The Counting Book Project is a companion book to my previously blogged and published Alphabet Book Project. Each week I post a new page until the whole book exists virtually online for all to enjoy for free. After the book is finished I work up a cover and some bonus material. The book is then published and available for purchase online.

In my thinking process with this new Counting Book book I’ve decided to change this up midstream once again! My original intent was to count up to twenty with spot illustrations. For a while I have been thinking it’s getting too crowded. This is the fun of making this book and posting it up as I go along. So, now instead I’ll use spot illustrations 1 – 10 then fill out he the remainder of the book with counting rhymes: First off is Two Little Black Birds pictured above.
Best,
Steve
