You know when you’re illustrating late into the night after a long day of illustrating and you wonder to yourself “I am I really making any kind of impact or difference?” “Do people really care about how I illustrate?” and my favorite “Do I suck?” Well, it’s becoming tradition for me to check out Illustration Mundo’s “Peoples choice” section. I can’t tell you what a boost it is to see that fans of illustration have been so kind as to keep me on the front page of the Peoples Choice section for a couple weeks now. It’s nice to feel some digital voting love. Right back at cha.Best,

Yes, E is for Elephant. You may have noticed that this particular elephant was inspired by the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. I recently purchased the season one on DVD and I am loving it. The animation though low budget still comes up with many beautiful painted textured backgrounds and of course very witty humor. Jay Ward was a genius! Critiques at the time said the show was like a well written radio program with illustrations. That seems a fitting reason as to why I might love this show. The segment I liked the most as a child and now is the Mr. Peabody and Sherman segments. The intro to that segment shows an elephant walking in a parade of history thus my rendition above.
