I am happy to say that with all the great press I’ve had online about my ABC book I’ve also recently had a small blurb appear about it in Canadian Family Magazine for this month. It’s very gratifying to have press like that appear in my home and native land! If you are in Canada check it out.
I am still hashing out the details on the counting book follow up “re-launch” which I’ll be gearing up again soon. I felt it still wasn’t quite right and want to launch it again with a stronger direction. I’ve got a game plan for it and I spent last weekend creating a bunch of fun painted textures with my three year old son Alex specifically for this project. Doing that really reignited my fire to have fun with this project again! Sometimes it takes a bit to recharge my batteries but having fun like that with my son sure did the trick.

FYI: I’ve posted the full version of the ABC Book as a Flash book. Find it here or on the sidebar link. Now you can browse through the entire book conveniently before you buy.

It’s here! It’s here! Hooray! Hooray! My new book is for sale today!
That’s right! The Alphabet Book is now ready for order on Amazon! I received my Authors copy earlier in the week and couldn’t be more pleased with the product. It was self published via Booksurge an Amazon company. I went with them because their standards were so much higher than other POD publishers I looked into. Plus, most people I assume have an Amazon account already. The book turned out fabulous and printed my textural illustrations beautifully. I am so happy and pleased to be able to offer such a high quality reproduction of my illustrations. If you enjoyed the Alphabet Book Project please consider purchasing a copy. Or two or three or …..

Z is for Zebra! There is no better way to end an alphabet book than with Zebra.
So, what now? 26 pages later I have a complete interior for an alphabet book but what about the cover? That my friends is in the works and publishing is too! I’ll be back in a couple of weeks with the complete low down on how and where to purchase the whole book.
Thanks to all the readers of this blog for all the comments you sprinkled throughout the way! Reading your thoughts and praises and gripes were all part of what made the experience so unique.
I had a great time working through the project like this and hope to do another blog project really soon! I’ve got some ideas cooking and they should be even more fun!
If you’d like to know more about this project I did a quick interview with Mr. Jeremiah McNichols over at Think In Pictures. Head on over there now to read some inside thoughts!

Yodelayheehoo! One more week to go in this project! It went fast didn’t it? I am currently entertaining other offers for printing rather than Lulu.com … It will get printed, just trying to figure out the best solution for your dollars.
Come back next week for the big finale!
