School Years Family Keepsake Box

July 29th, 2010 § 3

I am so pleased to show you a School Years Keepsake box I did with Chronicle Books and Barnes and Noble. I had a lot of fun on this project and the final box design is so appealing. They really did a great job!

The Canadian Muskox is safe!

October 8th, 2009 § 1

Muskox

That great beast the Canadian Muskox is safely aboard the ship and enjoying a buffet style dinner with cocktails on the deck in the evening. Romance is guaranteed and the survival of future generations is ensured! You can now breathe your sigh of relief…

Above is my contribution to a collaborative ARK project between 210 Illustrators and Designers. The objective was to have an illustrator or designer “save” an animal from the artists country. I naturally chose the purple winter muskox. A no brainer right?

The book is now available for purchase! Buy it and own a piece of awesomeness.

I’ve been so busy working on greeting cards and series of new books that I’ve left the blog quiet for too long now. I’ve got a lot I am going to be sharing over the next couple of weeks so keep checking in!

Best,
Steve

Give a hoot! Buy my books!

Sorry for the lack of updates round the ol’ blog. I am completely wrapped up in many freelance projects. In the meantime if you’d like you can now buy my new baby board book published by Chronicle Books and written by Betty Ann Schwartz. It’s a thrill-a-minute page turner!

Press!

Nothing good is ever on TV!

I am happy to say that with all the great press I’ve had online about my ABC book I’ve also recently had a small blurb appear about it in Canadian Family Magazine for this month. It’s very gratifying to have press like that appear in my home and native land! If you are in Canada check it out.

I am still hashing out the details on the counting book follow up “re-launch” which I’ll be gearing up again soon. I felt it still wasn’t quite right and want to launch it again with a stronger direction. I’ve got a game plan for it and I spent last weekend creating a bunch of fun painted textures with my three year old son Alex specifically for this project. Doing that really reignited my fire to have fun with this project again! Sometimes it takes a bit to recharge my batteries but having fun like that with my son sure did the trick.
